Winter Hill Farm 

         Tony Workman has been a professional horseman in Virginia for twenty years.  Prior to moving to the area, he ran a successful show business in Chicago.  His tact and skill with young horses and adult riders has solidified his reputation as a prominent horseman in Virginia. 

        He has coached riders to numerous championships at indoors in the Amateur Adult and Amateur Owner divisions.  Tony, himself, has also enjoyed success at indoors – winning working hunter classes at every venue, including the Regular Working Stake at the Washington International Horse Show while riding Tracey Weinberg's San Siro.  His vast riding accomplishments include countless Championships at well established horse shows such as the Upperville Colt and Horse Show, the Middleburg Classic, and Capital Challenge.

         In 2007, Tony received his large “R” judge’s card from the United States Equestrian Federation and has begun to judge around the country.  This past year he judged several shows including one week in Wellington.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tom 

 

      Tom Brennan joined the Winter Hill team in 2004 upon graduating from Stonehill College in Massachusetts.  He enjoyed much success at Stonehill while showing in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, becoming Champion twice and Reserve Champion once at Nationals on the team he captained, before moving to Virginia.  Tom teaches many of the lessons and has begun to focus on children and juniors in addition to the adults at Winter Hill.  He directly oversees the care of the horses at WHF.

       In the past three years, Tom has shown many of the horses at Winter Hill.  Several of them have brought him championships in the Baby Green, Pre-Green, Green Conformation, Regular Conformation, Green Working Divisions, and Regular Working Divisions at horse shows like the Middleburg Classic, Upperville Horse Show, Lexington National Horse Show, Maryland National Horse Show, Duke Children's Benefit, and Aiken Winter Classic.
